House in Fareham, Hampshire
This recently approved DJA design is located on the outskirts of Fareham, overlooking a golf course.
The design is for a detached contemporary house, specifically designed to meet the clients needs. The double volume entrance hall acts as the central spine to the house, providing views towards the rear garden with an interior waterfall feature acting as a focal point at the rear of the double volume space. Double doors lead to an expansive kitchen / dining / living area with pantry, wet kitchen, utility and dog room provided in the adjoining rooms.
The ground floor also comprises a formal living room, with stairs leading up to the first floor study, as well as a spacious formal dining room. A sweeping staircase leads up to the first floor accommodation, with five spacious double bedrooms, each with ensuites, dressing rooms and terraces offering spectacular views. The study overlooks the formal living area creating a bright and airy environment.
The design also features an extensive 2 floor garage, with car turn table and lift, able to house 6 cars. The basement features a gym, steam room, Jacuzzi, cinema room and games room.
The rear terrace provides a winter garden room, as well as a substantial 10 x 6m swimming pool with waterfall feature.
Despite being a substantial, luxurious contemporary design, materials have been carefully selected for the exterior of the building. They include stone cladding, timber render and slate effect roofing tiles. These materials respect the character of the area and work in harmony with their surroundings.
